How you log on depends on whether you are a global administrator or local administrator. Local administrators are used for multi-tenancy and can only access their local domains.
A single Data Security Manager Administrator may have two passwords: one password to log directly into the Management Console and another that requires RSA SecurID authentication credentials before opening the Management Console. Which login method you use depends on how your administrator account is configured in the Management Console and in the RSA Authentication Manager.
To log into the Vormetric Management Console as a global administrator:
To log into the Management Console as a local domain administrator:

To setup and configure smart cards, refer to the chapter "Smart Card Access" in the DSM Administrator Guide.
Note: Currently, the Smart Card feature is compatible with Internet Explorer v11 and Microsoft Edge v10. |
After you are set up on the DSM and with the smart card, when you start the browser with the smart card reader already plugged in and containing a smart card, the Smart card login displays.
